- The department jointly with CSE & ISE conducts a department function INTERFACE once in an year to provide a platform for the students to exhibit their talents..

- Quiz programs, programming contests will be conducted for the welfare of the students. The department arranges many guest lectures for the students and the staff.
- The department faculties are actively participating in the training programs/workshops in and outside the college, also they are much involved in the activities of ISTE Chapter. Many of the faculties have presented papers under the same chapter.
- Many open discussions will be arranged to have better interactions between the students and staff members.
- The faculties are sparing their valuable time for academic counseling of students. Every faculty member has taken up the responsibility of caring about twenty students . The system has yielded some good results.
- The faculties have volunteered to conduct special classes after the regular class hours with in the college timings for the benefit of needy students.
- The department had organized a 2 day state level workshop on "Wireless Networks" during October 2008
- The department had organized a national conference on "Advances in Computer Applications-NCACA09 " on 7th and 8th May 2009
- Under the initiative of Infosys Campus Connect Program, Soft skills and Foundation programs will be rolled out every year for BE and MCA Students. Under the same banner frequently webinars will be organized on upcoming technologies for BE and MCA students. SPARK- Industrial visit to Infosys technologies, Bangalore will be organized once in an year under this initiative.
- The department takes active initiation in motivating BE and MCA students to participate in ASPIRATIONS 2020 - Inter collegiate Quiz, Paper Presentation, online Programming Contests etc.
- The department is responsible in managing the editorial board to bring up the annual college magazine ODYSSEY.
- The department has conducted NCACA"09 National Conference on Advances in Computer Applications on 7th and 8th May 2009.
