The Technical world has always been in need of young talented professionals. To fulfill the requirements of IT industries and also to equip non technical graduates with the best of computer skills, Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Tumkur started a post graduate degree program Master of Computer Applications in the year 1998. Since from its inception, the department has produced hundreds of talented professionals who have been serving not only in India but also all over the world with competence.
The Department imparts world class training and provides state of the art computing facilities to the students. The Department provides an outstanding working environment complemented by superior teaching for its students to flourish in. Air conditioned and well furnished software laboratories with latest software and hardware to meet the need of IT industry.
It also promotes active industry-institute collaborations. The Department regularly conducts Training Programs, Workshops, Conferences and Personality Development Programs. The faculties and students actively participate in conferences and seminars and have presented several technical papers in many conferences and published papers in journals.
Many of our students acquired higher position in leading software companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys etc through campus selection process. The department’s alumni include renowned academicians, IT professionals and trendsetting entrepreneurs. The Department along with the co-departments CSE and ISE jointly organizes an annual function Interface to provide a platform for the students to showcase their talents.
